On this World Seniors Day, let us pause and reflect: humanity has survived and thrived because of the wisdom of our elders, the guardians of memory, Education, and Health.
Today, as we face the possibility of new wars and divides, we must draw upon both Dominion and Dharma. Dominion gives us power and technology. Dharma gives us balance and purpose. Together, they guide us toward peace.
At this historic moment, we must embrace the principle of And-Also, not Either-Or. Education and Health are not competing priorities with defense and growth — they are the very foundation of human survival and flourishing.
Let us transform the G-20’s vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — “the world is one family” — into a living reality. Not through rhetoric, but through action:
- By using AI and all technologies as bridges, not walls.
- By redefining winning as bridging, not dividing, as IBM once demonstrated in India.
- By creating a New World Order of Intelligence that values harmony, not hegemony.
Our seniors remind us that humanity is not meant to march toward Fight-Fight-Fight, but to evolve toward Win-Win-Win. President Trump’s rhetoric of maximum pressure can only bring us closer to crisis, while Prime Minister Modi’s call for Dharma at the G-20 shows a path to peace, unity, and shared prosperity.
And the future lies in Seniors and Gen Alpha working together. When seniors share their wisdom, and children bring curiosity and digital fluency, the two generations can form a living mentor–mentee–mentee chain. Seniors guide, Gen Alpha listens and adapts, and then teaches forward. Technology becomes the bridge across this generational river, ensuring that wisdom and innovation walk hand-in-hand.
The choice before us in 2025 is clear:
A future of conflict and division, or a future of intelligence, balance, and compassion.
Let us honor our seniors not just with words but with actions — by building a civilization where Education and Health are universal bridges, where generations mentor each other, where technology serves humanity, and where peace is the highest form of progress.
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — One Planet, One Family.
